I would say the difference is, that after the 70's, there are some awesome, inspired , moments, songs etc, that I would not want to live without .
But, somewhere in the 80's, some of the songs start sounding like "songs we used to play better before ", say, some of the Europe 72 stuff, or the cowboy songs; they just don't quite sound right . There are times when they sound OK, get of a creditable performance ( Jerry comes up with something good ) of these tunes, but mostly this is the stuff you listen trough/tolerate , till you get to the highlights .
And yes more train wrecks happen later , but sometimes in an almost dreadful show there might be a "Days Between", or such that is worth the trip .Still . that "Get Back"... poor Bob .
